How we do it Our Takeuchi TB2150R and Bobcat E48 both run tiltrotators, and we pair them with a grapple for handling logs and brush. The tiltrotator lets us pick, sort, and place material precisely, so we can clear around the trees you want to keep and leave a clean edge instead of a torn-up tree line. On steep and wooded North Idaho lots, that precision keeps erosion down and saves you cleanup. Once the lot is open, we set grade with a rotary laser so water moves away from where you're building. A lot of our clearing work is a driveway corridor plus a building pad, leaving the rest of the property wooded. What happens to the trees and brush? Merchantable logs can be decked for you. Slash and brush can be piled, hauled off, or spread, depending on your preference, local burn rules, and what's practical for the site. Do I need a permit to clear my lot? Many residential clearing jobs don't, but rules vary by county and near shorelines, wetlands, or steep slopes. We'll flag anything that looks like it needs a permit before we start.
