Where the line needs it, we bed pipe or conduit in sand, place warning tape, and backfill and compact so the trench doesn't settle into a ditch next spring. Our tiltrotator-equipped excavators cut neat trenches around trees, fences, and landscaping, and our mini excavator gets into tight backyards.
