How we do it We run a Takeuchi TB2150R and a Bobcat E48, both equipped with tiltrotators. A tiltrotator lets the bucket tilt and rotate a full 360 degrees, so we can cut clean, square footing walls and shape grade around corners without constantly repositioning the machine. That means tighter digs, less over-excavation, and less disturbance to the rest of your lot. Every dig is checked with a rotary laser, so your foundation contractor gets a flat, accurate bottom at the elevation on the plans. North Idaho ground isn't always cooperative. We've dug through native clay, cobble, and solid basalt. When we hit rock, we bring in a hydraulic breaker and plan the work in one continuous window so you aren't paying for multiple mobilizations. Where the plans call for it, we compact structural fill and slab base to 95% Proctor or better. Working with builders We know a foundation dig sits in the middle of a tight schedule. We coordinate with your foundation crew, show up when we say we will, and keep the site clean and accessible for the trades that follow.
