What's included Subgrade preparation and proof rolling. Structural fill and base rock placed in lifts. Compaction to 95% Proctor or better. How we do it We place fill and base rock in controlled lifts and compact each one before placing the next, rather than dumping a thick layer and running over the top. We use a Wacker Neuson DPU6555 reversible plate compactor for footings and tight areas and a ride-on roller for larger pads. Grade is checked with a rotary laser so your concrete crew gets a flat, accurate base at the right elevation. Written for builders We know your concrete pour is on a schedule. It's a standard measure of how dense compacted soil or rock is compared to the maximum density that material can reach in a lab test. Hitting 95% or better means the base is dense and stable enough to carry your concrete without settling. Do you do compaction testing? We compact to spec and can coordinate with a third-party testing company when your plans or lender require documented results. What base rock do you use? It depends on the application.
